Bright, original surfaces retain their coppery orange and red color. A shallow struck through in the obverse field off the bridge of Liberty's nose, and some tiny spots about CA set the grade.

PCGS reports only 30 1874 cents certified as MS65RD, topped by five MS66s. Additionally, this is one of only two approved as MS65RD by CAC, with none finer.
